SIR - I could relate to George Hitchcock's letter (T&A, Nov 22) about time passing by and memories of decades past.

I don't remember much of the 1970s, even though I was born at the end of 1973. The 80s seemed to consist of good television, good music and Margaret Thatcher. By 1989 all the good TV shows seemed to disappear.

I didn't mind some of the music in the 90s. But now there's hardly anything worth watching and music sounds like somebody choking. And the Prime Minister isn't much better either.
