SIR - Bradford Council have published plans for an eventual improvement scheme for Canal Road which is unlikely to be implemented for many years.
A quick and comparatively inexpensive interim solution would be to place concrete separators down the centre of Canal Road under the Queens Road bridge from a point north of Bolton Lane to a point south of Station Road. This would prevent right turns on to and off Canal Road which are the cause of many of the hold-ups on that road.
Drivers wishing to make such right turns could easily do so by using Bolton Lane and Kings Road.
