SIR - I was asked in the T&A letters page (July 8) why people can't change their mind about Brexit and why is it undemocratic to have another referendum.

What would be undemocratic is re-running the same referendum and changing the rules because you lost. The result hasn't been implemented yet. This is a purely a matter of principal that is shared by many remain voters.

Also, the vast majority of leave voters haven't changed their minds because there's no real reason to. And there are some that have changed their mind the other way, for Brexit.
