SIR - Like Michael T Leahy, (T&A letters, March 7), I too know people who know better than experts, MPs and Parliament. Even some MPs do, (amongst them, those who would turn us into a real service/servants' economy and even destroy workers' rights!): "Know your place", says the likes of Rees-Mogg.
Truth is, we all know better than somebody else, but what shocks me is how many "know" blatant falsehoods, eg "We are told to do 'X' by 'Europe'" when we are in a partnership!
You will never get everyone to accept what our representatives in the EU agree to, anymore than from our own parliament. Rees-Mogg wants to swap EU rules for WTO rules. It's not necessarily obvious why, but whatever it is, I don't agree with him!
