SIR - I am greatly looking forward to the re-opening of St George's Hall, having seen some memorable concerts there in the past. The problem, however, has been not enough acts of a certain calibre have been attracted to come to Bradford and it has lost out to eg Manchester, Sheffield and lately, Leeds.

Hopefully, the newly refurbished St George's will prove a better draw for 'bigger' talents, because in the past it hasn't been for the want of large crowds. Many of the ones I attended at St George's previously were packed out. The trouble has been these kind of shows have been too few and far between. I would say, fewer tribute acts and more original talent please.
