SIR - Could one of your readers please explain to me in simple terms what G Hitchcock of Baildon (T&A January 17) is on about in his letter? He should be aware that not everyone went to university or studied politics. I just managed to pass my 11-plus at the second attempt and got to go grammer (sic) school in the late 50s, early 60s.
They didn’t teach me about Keynesian, Neo-Liberal monetarism, Friedman, Hayek and Rand. I feel that at my age in life I have better things to do with my time than Google such items to understand someone’s letter.
I have however picked up on Darwinism which I am led to believe is something to do with the evolution of mankind.
Michael T Leahy, Rowantree Avenue, Baildon
