SIR - The T&A editorial on January 11 was unusual in the aspect it was not supportive of the view expressed by Bradford senior judge, Mr Durham Hall QC.

He stated his support of the intentions of vigilante groups, a very emotive and provocative description.

The Editorial concluded by arguing a better stance would be to call for more police resources than encourage vigilantes, which could end with serious consequences.

How naive can the editor be? Everyone and his dog constantly pleads for our useless Government to fund the important resources our society needs and a civilised country should have. As His Honour knows but the editor does not appear to, such pleading is falling on deaf ears, hence in desperation, extreme measures manifest themselves.
