SIR - If only Bradford City's season had started in November with the present manager in charge, just imagine where the team would now be in the league table! When I last wrote about City's fortunes, I quoted Mary Hopkin's 1968 hit record Those Were The Days, in lamenting how far the team had fallen from the successful times of just a few years ago.
Now, it seems, Simple Minds' 1982 single Promised You a Miracle seems more apposite for what David Hopkin and the team have achieved recently. This, particularly bearing in mind what once appeared certain relegation form which had fans in the depths of despair. Now are they singing I Believe I (or should that be 'We'?) Can Fly"- a hit in 1996 for R Kelly!
