SIR - As we approach another Christmas there will as usual be plenty of feasting and drinking for some, as shown in the TV adverts of tables overloaded with bountiful food, in sharp contrast to the TV charity adverts such as Save the Children showing the reality of malnutrition and starvation in less fortunate countries.
LETTER OF THE DAY: Please don't give a pet for Christmas
This should give people food for though, or better still "food for the needy".
