SIR - Last week I went to the Alhambra to see Miss Saigon. I allowed plenty of time to park but could find nowhere. Even the multi-storey was unusable due to the barriers being out of order.

However, I noticed plenty of parking spaces which are operable during the day but are no parking from 6pm! Behind the Media Museum and libraries there are staff car parks which are empty in the evenings, so in desperation I and plenty of other people, parked there. This caused no inconvenience to anyone and allowed theatre-goers etc to actually visit Bradford and spend money.

Of course when I returned to my car there was a parking ticket on every car. A nice little money earner but has had the effect of me and others vowing never to visit Bradford theatres etc again until the Council come to their senses and make staff and other parking places and car parks available to the public in the evenings.

Does Bradford really want to deter visitors? I would have thought that Bradford needs all the help it can get!
