SIR - Of course I welcome the recent imprisonment and sentences given to the Huddersfield grooming gang.

But what is noticeable is the complete lack of the terms 'hate crime' and 'racism' in the media coverage, and the fact that none of them have been charged with these two offences. The victims were all white girls and the gang were all of Asian origin.

At the same time, incredibly, there are those in the PC Brigade who believe that if I so much as wolf whistle at someone of the opposite sex (which I never would) I should be arrested for hate crime!

Is this not proof once and for all that the specific concept of hate crime is a one way street?
