SIR - Irrespective of the reasons why, it was still sad to read of the demolition of The Kiosk in City Park. The guys there always provided good service, with a smile to folk in the area and/or just passing by. I hope the future is kind to them.
As the Council appears to be 're-evaluating' that immediate area, I wonder if the Bradford City Fire Memorial is on their agenda? Apart from the days surrounding May 11, the site is largely anonymous. I've lost count of people who have asked me 'what it is?' when I've stood awhile there.
I suppose Bradford is fairly unique in having two public memorials to a disaster (the other at Valley Parade) - unlike Liverpool and Manchester United for example?
