SIR - It seems, these days, more and more drivers are caught speeding. Given that cars are more powerful it is very easy to speed without realising it, although I reckon the majority know exactly what speed they are doing.
Why is it accepted that vehicles, restricted to 70mph on our motorways, are given the ability to do 100mph and more? Surely there should be a restriction on how powerful an engine is. Therefore, restricted to 70mph.
The only vehicles with ability to do greater speeds should be the police, and emergency services, less chance of the perpetrator getting away.
I say: BAN FASTER CARS.
