SIR - It is difficult to imagine a more incompetent handling of city centre roadworks than the recent operations on Market Street, Bradford. Eccleshill. Buses were diverted via Hall Ings and Shipley-Airedale Road so there were no bus stops for almost a mile out of town. And then to cap it all the roadworks finished and the buses carried on along the diversion because Market Street was still blocked. Surely we can do better than this!
