SIR - Great to see a report on the World Trials GP in the T&A, September 6. Rather tarnished however by the need to describe Emma Bristow as “the 27 year old blonde.” You did not, for some reason, choose to inform us of the age nor hair colour of Messrs. Toni Bou, James Dabill, Jack Price nor any other male entrant.

I’m almost surprised you did not include her (what used to be called) “Vital Statistics.”

Come on, T&A, do at least try and catch up with current attitudes to women participants in sport.
