SIR - Despite man-made climate change being a reality, humans are not 'fated' to destroy their environment and, just as there are hungry people on our planet, it is the 'system' that keeps them hungry, rather than there being too many people to feed. In fact, the developed countries with lower birth rates contribute far more to carbon emissions.
The causes and effects of climate change are unevenly distributed along lines of class, race and gender, so humanity as a whole is not at fault for its creation. In fact, it is the system of production designed to concentrate income and wealth in the hands of the few where the blame really lies. And those unwilling to challenge that system.
