SIR – So Tony Blair has recently re-emerged from his life as a multimillionaire to pass unwelcome comments on the current Labour party and its leadership yet again. I don’t know what makes me sigh the most between Boris Johnson or Tony Blair opening their mouths.
Blair has the audacity to preach about “moderate” values in British politics when he recently received £9.2million from his Saudi cronies and when in power, he and George Bush created instability in the Middle East which has left us with a more dangerous and unstable world as a result.
Blair’s “moderate” interpretation of politics is unwelcome and hypocritical. At least now we have a clearly defined political spectrum where Labour is once again Labour and the Tories have long since retreated from the centre ground. Blair would have made an excellent Tory prime minister.
