SIR - The A647 Leeds Road, Bradford, is in desperate need of being made dual-carriageway.
Manchester Road and Wakefield Road were both dualled over 30 years ago, but Leeds Road, a major artery to and from the city, remains a bottleneck.
My regular visits to Bradford, usually via the 88 bus from Swinnow, proceeds at a pace through Pudsey usually grinding to a halt in the vicinity of Akbar's Restaurant.
Then it is all stop-start as far as the city centre, and this is during the day.
Leeds Road needs major investment and it needs it now.
