SIR - Following my letter regarding the United States of Europe, I was disappointed but not surprised by the reply from John Hall who offered unsubstantiated claims of the future outside the EU.
I along with many others choose to ignore such comments. If he feels we ignore the so- called experts, which ones is he referring to? The Cameron types who have disappeared, the weather forecasting Treasury types who now tell us they got it wrong or the Osborne types who have run off to obtain lucrative jobs with the hated banks?
However, I am pleased with the reply from Colin Durkin (T&A, February 6), although I think he missed my point about insured drivers paying for damage to uninsured drivers.
Do not despair Colin, after Brexit, if tariffs are introduced, your British beef steak, Lincolnshire potato chips, Norfolk grown peas, Kent hops and Worcestershire maltings will not be affected.
