SIR - I wonder if I could call upon the assistance of your readers in helping me trace an ancestor who lived in the Bradford area about 100 years ago.
William Stenhouse, born in 1871 in Jesmond, Newcastle upon Tyne, moved with his wife Susannah and children from Middlesbrough and they were living at 8 Grosvenor Rd, Bradford (between Manningham Lane and Lumb Lane) at the time of the 1911 census.
The children at that time at home were: William Jnr 19yrs, James Thomas 17yrs, Evelyn Wilson Stenhouse 15yrs, Percy (Percival) Stenhouse 11yrs and Maud Stenhouse 1yr.
I am trying to trace William Stenhouse forward from that time, but with some difficulty, due to lack of more recent records being publicly available.
If any of your readers are from the Stenhouse family and recognise the names above as being their ancestors, then I would be very pleased to hear from them with any more information they provide as to William Stenhouse after 1924. Of course, if I have information which they do not have I would be happy to share it with them.
