SIR – Geoffrey Holmes apologised for his delay in replying to an earlier contributor. It is a pity he didn’t leave it longer or bin the nonsense.
Ed Miliband is not engaged in class war but is defending the poor, the vulnerable and the hardworking ordinary people of this country against onslaughts from the real class warriors, the Tory Party.
A party that wants to turn the clock back to pre-war and beyond and diminish the financial, working and living conditions of the many in favour of the privileged and greedy few.
They have torn up the post-war consensus. Ed Miliband can, and will have to, stitch it back together.
