SIR – I am wondering why the good people of Bradford tolerate the wholly inadequate car parking at Bradford Royal Infirmary.

The non-existent attempts to make it work for patients and the draconian methods adopted when people fail to follow the rules to the letter, are simply not good enough and should be addressed.

There is a completely inadequate provision for disabled parking on the site, particularly near the ENT unit and taxis are allowed to wait wherever they choose.

A parking penalty notice (which is NOT a parking ticket but merely a breach of contract notice) will be issued without any regard to the circumstances and there is an appeals process where a junior clerk is I am sure, told to reject all appeals.

Can I urge your readers not to be bullied into paying excess charges and can I urge the Trust management to get a grip of this situation?
