SIR – It appears that Bradford MP David Ward has put his foot in it again with his comments re the Israel-Palestine conflict in Gaza.
Obviously, he is attempting to appease the Muslim portion of his constituents. He will need their support if he is to retain his seat at the forthcoming General Election.
Might I suggest that rather than concern themselves with what is happening abroad, our MPs address the problems at home. We are constantly being told that we have a housing crisis – we don’t, we have an increasing population crisis.
Our infrastructure is stretched to the limit, schools are full, hospitals can’t cope, doctors and dentists have waiting lists.
We have to reduce the size of our population, we are a small island of limited resources and we are full. Would it not be a good idea for our MPs to consider legislating to reduce child allowance benefits to no more than two children. That would be a start, then exit the EU and post the “house full” sign up at the borders.
