SIR - I wonder if one of your readers is a bird watcher?
On Saturday morning we saw this strange bird on the garage roof. It was about seven to eight inches high with dark brown plumage and grey chest feathers with a hooked beak.
It stayed about 20 minutes then flew away. We saw the same type of bird last year too.
Can anyone tell us what sort of bird it was? It was a beautiful bird. I hope somebody will be able to help us.
