SIR - The Thai wife of Kevin Gibson, right, manager of the Delvers, in Highgate, Heaton, has been refused a visa to settle in this country, yet he is well able to accommodate and financially support her and a dependent without recourse to public funds (T&A, January 8).
Is the British Embassy in Thailand just paying lip service to a Government that is now belatedly proclaiming it is going to stem the influx of immigrants?
