SIR - Thank you for the splendid feature on the West and South Live at Home Scheme (T&A, January 3).
This was started in Clayton ten years ago with a weekly luncheon club for 40 people. They now also run a day centre for disabled people who otherwise would be confined to the home.
A minibus driven by volunteers transports us door-to-door and often on outings and holidays.
I have appreciated this service for many years and it is the highlight of the week. Many thanks to the staff and volunteers for their care and dedication.
