SIR - Your comment (T&A, January 1) quite rightly in my mind highlights the importance of the Broadway development to the future of the city centre.
Indeed, I feel that many of the smaller developments that will also improve the area are waiting for building to commence before they too fully commit.
However, you seem to suggest that there is concern over the uncertainty of a start time, which is at odds with several reports run in the T&A during November stating categorically that building will start in January, 2007. Which is correct?

- EDITOR'S NOTE: We have never stated that building will start in January. Westfield say they can't give us an accurate date for construction to begin until a sufficient number of tenants have been signed up.
