SIR - You hear so many bad reports about hospital treatment, the ambulance service, A&E and the NHS in general - doesn't anyone ever praise these people?

I would like to do just that.

I had a fall in my home on the Friday before Christmas. My husband telephoned for an ambulance which responded immediately.

The medics were absolutely wonderful and when they had done all they had to do proceeded to take me to A&E who were equally as brilliant. The after-care, so far, has also been the same.

Although I don't remember everything, as I was in a lot of pain with a dislocated shoulder, my husband says they all did everything they could to make me as comfortable as possible and I can't thank them enough.

Do some people moan to make them selves happy?
