SIR - I live in Bingley, a town of 70,000 people, which is without a proper post office and pre-Christmas saw its citizens wandering around the town with parcels they could not post.
My most heart-warming end to 2006 was receiving the latest Explorer OS large scale map of West Lewis, one of the most remote places in the UK in the Outer Hebrides.
So what did I see on this map that so delighted me?
Not even on the main coastal road, not even in the small village of Callanish where the standing stones are, but ten miles north of there at grid reference 191391, at a place which does not even have a name, were the letters PO.
