SIR – I am amazed at the statement by David Cameron (T&A, March 27) and I quote: “We pledged that we would act to help all those who were working hard, saving up and setting their sights on a home of their own”.
He should have added a further paragraph to read: “unless they go into a care home, in which case we will take all their savings and pensions and in some cases their property”.
But the people who have not saved or bought property do not need to worry as the Government will pay for them.
Mr Cameron, of his own accord, has placed us into two groups – those who save money and buy their property and those who spend their money and rent their property.
I believe this is termed as victimisation.
I am not suggesting that either group is correct, but what I am suggesting is it should be “all pay or nobody pays”.
