SIR – Edward McMillan Scott and Rebecca Taylor, Liberal Democrat MPs, were extolling the virtues of EU funding to various establishments in Britain (Letters, December 19), conveniently forgetting to mention the amount Britain pays in to the EU.
What is the net result? I can understand their reluctance to overlook this, due to their vested interest as MEPs in receipt of generous salaries far in excess of the average wage of many workers. So let’s have the full facts instead of selective points to suit their views and justification to remain in the EU.
