SIR - I don't agree with the view that we should have fluoride in water to improve our oral hygiene in the district. This is because in my opinion people need to look after their children's teeth By this I mean don't give them too many sugary foods and drinks. Also I reckon there are four main things that can be done to have healthy teeth and gums.
1) Brush your teeth twice a day.
2) Visit your dentist every six months.
3) Use mouthwash or chew gum for fresh breath.
4) Avoid sugary foods and drink.
If everyone followed this routine there would be less demand for dentists in the first place.
