SIR - How reassuring it was to see Linda Barker backing Bradford's regeneration plans (T&A, December 7).
Miss Barker mentioned the year 2020 and that the next few years are not going to be easy for the city. What about the last few years? They haven't been easy and it's damn hard now!
She also said that a good test of a thriving community is if the taxi drivers give you a running commentary of what's happening and if people are moving out of town or improving their homes. The words cloud and cuckoo come to mind!
She compared Bradford with Dubai and found some parallels - cloud and cuckoo keep popping into my mind.
Bradford Council leader Kirs Hopkins said it's time we shouted from the rooftops about the future.
