SIR – I have just read a letter you published from Mr Hindle regarding the UK economy in which he states that the worst is yet to come (T&A, October 10); could I ask for his evidence for this attitude?
I have no time for either of the two main parties but the world economy is not helping us.
Being a pensioner I am very pleased that I live in this country where nobody will starve. A lot of people don’t seem to know the difference between “need” and “want”.
