SIR – So far, the universal credit fiasco has cost taxpayers £420 million. This extremely ambitious project has been bedevilled with bugs, problems and failures.
The Conservative party certainly knows how to waste money, and it is doing it big time.
Having wasted so much money on a major computer system, our leaders then tell us there is a need for cuts.
There certainly is. But the serial incompetence of the Tory party is making a bad situation worse.
