SIR - Eric Firth (T&A, November 23) continues his banging on about the down-trodden poor keeping alive the class warfare.
Poppy day is a day of sad reflection honouring, yes, sometimes with flypasts, the fallen and not glorifying the wars in which they died.
It's all right Mr Firth wearing a smile in remembrance but this does not give the British Legion any financial help to those ex-military, who need and deserve it.
