SIR - I would really like to thank the knights of the road a) for changing my tyre after I wrongly accused' them of leaving something in the road which recently punctured my tyre and b) for doing such a good job of resurfacing the part of Mill Lane which has caused such a really bumpy ride in the past.

I always said that trainee road re-surfacers must use Bradford's roads to practice on - but (even if it is true) at last we've got the top of the class' to redo this bit of road.

I can (almost) say that it's now a pleasure to drive to work in the morning. Well done to these men (and if out there, there are some re-surfacers who might read this letter, go on, have a drive under the bridge on Mill Lane and see how road resurfacing should be done).
