Maybe the residents from the Allerton Road area will reconsider their comments about Box Tree Cottage from where this same man escaped recently.
My parents were the first wardens of this hostel, owned by the Langley House Trust, in the early 1960s. Information was distributed to surrounding properties explaining who the residents would be, but I appreciate new houses have since been built.

This was and, I feel sure, is so today, the main objective of their stay.
Security was paramount then as I believe it will be today. Surely no blame can be laid at the feet of the staff running of the house, as it would appear that no person or chain can contain him.
