SIR – This week, political commentators and Westminster village cogitate over the by-election result to replace the disgraced Chris Huhne in Eastleigh. There are 14 candidates, the usual suspects and a host of no-hopers, but with one significant absentee.
The Green Party is not contesting the event. Is it they cannot afford the deposit?
