SIR – Which bright spark from the Highways Agency decided to restrict traffic to the hard shoulder between junctions 37 and 39 near Wakefield on the M1 on the evening of February 24 to facilitate roadworks/whitelining work at the exact time that 30,000-plus Bradford City fans were travelling back to Bradford, restricting traffic flow to a crawl for more than an hour, with adults and children having to return to work and school the following day?
This was not appreciated by the many fans who made the long journey to and from Wembley.
Surely this situation could have been avoided with a little bit more forethought, or perhaps the person who made this decision was a disgruntled Leeds United fan!
