SIR – We returned from London after going to the Capital One Cup final on Sunday.

After going to a show on Saturday night, we joined our sons and their friends and met other City supporters. There was a feeling of camaraderie. Non-supporters were rooting for us.

On the Sunday we travelled to Wembley and were in a carriage full of mainly Swansea supporters. It was like a Welsh male voice choir! There was friendly banter and songs from both sets of supporters.

The only let-down was the language from two City supporters (probably in their 40s) who came out with foul words despite three young boys sitting on their row with their mothers. No-one dare ask them to curb their language although a steward was alerted and came to speak to them. It was a wonderful day but it is unfortunate a minority do not consider families.

Despite the result, there was a great feeling as we left the stadium. The announcer at the tube station was singing “City ‘til I die” and welcoming us on to the Bradford City Express. For the first time in years I felt very proud I am from Bradford.
