SIR – Once again a Bradford MP has brought shame on the city. Firstly David Ward, who in January accused Jews of not learning the lessons of the Nazi Holocaust and “inflicting atrocities on Palestinians on a daily basis in the West Bank and Gaza”, and now George Galloway, who petulantly walked out on a debate at Oxford University simply because his opponent was an Israeli.

Both he and Mr Ward should recall that the political strategy guiding most of the Arab and Palestinian leadership today was formulated by Palestinian Nazi collaborator Muhammad Amin al-Hussseini, who fled to Germany in 1941 where he made radio broadcasts urging Muslims to “kill Jews in the name of Allah”. Hamas, Islamic Jihad and Hezbollah are all following in the terrorist footsteps of Husseini.

Both Ward and Galloway know the Palestinians have been offered a state on at least three occasions – in 1947, 2001 and 2008 – and each time they rejected the offer.

In 2008, Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert offered Mahmoud Abbas the whole of Gaza and 97 per cent of the West Bank, but even that was rejected. Yet both MPs shamefully denigrate Israel at every opportunity.
