SIR – According to Councillor Glen Miller (Letters, January 3), Bradford Council had no plan to make alternative arrangements for refuse collections which fell on Christmas Day and Boxing Day.
How he reached this conclusion is beyond me, as a couple of weeks earlier we received a note from the Council that explained when we could expect a collection.
I assume it got mixed up with Coun Miller’s Christmas post and was thus overlooked. I can assure him that in this street the binmen turned up as promised, so if an apology is due, it is from him to the Council and not the other way round.
