SIR – Congratulations to Caroline Sangster for her entertaining letter in the T&A (January 3). Her ironic humour was not lost on me. I think she will not be out of work very long. She obviously has a great future as a scriptwriter.

The content of her letter would make an excellent basis for a TV comedy show. To bemoan the fact that she cannot get a job and her friends are losing theirs in the service industry, while admitting that she refuses to use those services herself, is the type of comedy that will appeal to the modern audience.

Then, to blame it all on the Prime Minister is priceless. Contact the TV companies, Caroline. Your brand of humour is just what they are looking for.
