YOUNGSTERS and teachers at Sutton in Craven CofE Primary School teamed their harvest festival preparations and celebrations with an opportunity to make a difference to those around the district who are struggling.

The school's grounds were transformed into a collection point for items of food and essentials for Skipton Food Bank.

The pupils and staff have been manning the station and collecting donations to celebrate the harvest festival.

The donation box was placed outside school every day for anyone who wanted to donate something. Items were then gathered up to be handed over to Skipton Food Bank which sorts the food into parcels and which are handed out to families and individuals.

The school’s Facebook page will be updated on a weekly basis with requested items.
