YORKSHIRE Water is issuing guidance for businesses whose premises may have been empty for a while during lockdown.
Recent government updates mean that many businesses are preparing to return to work and the county’s water company, Yorkshire Water, has provided a checklist for businesses to use to ensure their water supply is safe and that they are able to use water efficiently.
Supplies that have been out of use for a while could contain bacteria, such as Legionnaires. The Health and Safety Executive recently issued guidance on the matter.
