A BRADLEY woman has been pounding the pavements near her home for the past few weeks but she may not have been instantly recognisable..
Rebecca Malin, 44, decided to add a twist to her exercise routine and donned a different fancy dress outfit each time she ran round the village..
Rebecca, a programme director with Airedale NHS Foundation Trust has featured Marge Simpson complete with bright blue wig, a horse and rider, a character from Top Gun complete with a cardboard plane her mother made her and as a cartoon character from Bananas in Pyjamas.
“I’ve been doing it to raise money for the Alzheimer’s Society. The charity sector has been hit hard during this time - increasing demand and reducing funds. Lots of events are cancelled so there is a reduction in funding.
“Covid-19 is hard for everyone, now imagine having dementia, possibly not understanding lockdown, the risks, carers in protective wear.
“I have raised £500 so far which is brilliant.”
The last of Rebecca’s runs is due to take place next week and will feature a rainbow theme.
