SKIPTON-based bridal boutique, Cinderella’s is celebrating its coming of age on the high street.

Based in the town’s High Corn Mill, Cinderella’s and its owner, Mandy Abramson know a thing or two about wedding attire.

It all began as Stitches, in Silsden’s high street, in 1999, with a service offering general clothing alterations and made-to-measure gowns.

After initial success, Mandy decided to expand, and in 2000, a move to larger premises in Skipton’s Victoria Street, offered the opportunity to sell bridalwear and prom wear.

In 2005 the boutique was moved to Coach Street, where Cinderella’s resided for another 12 years.

When an empty unit at High Corn Mill, just off the Raikes Road, became available it was too tempting an opportunity to let pass by.

Mandy said of her business’s milestone: “I am so proud that Cinderella’s has stood the test of time, in what has been a challenging period for the high street.

“As more businesses move towards the internet, bridalwear has that unique position where future brides want the whole experience of buying their wedding dress and the internet just can’t offer that feeling.

“Over the years I’ve been able to adapt to the changing market, and offer the latest bridal fashions and accessories, plus something a little different to those brides looking for something less conventional.

“I absolutely love our peaceful location at the Mill.

“The serene surroundings, customer parking and close proximity to the A59 has seen me welcome customers from across the north – which is such a complement. Here’s to the next 21”

Mandy is currently taking inquiries via Cinderella’s Facebook page.

She hopes to be able to reopen in a few weeks if the current restrictions are sufficiently lifted and will be working by appointment for about two months

Cinderella’s has been established since 1999. Based in Skipton’s High Corn Mill, it offers a wide choice of dresses from top UK designers Romantica, Jennifer Wren, Phoenix, Pure, Richard Design and Tiffanys.
