SKIPTON’S Dogsbody & Friends pet food and dog grooming salon is celebrating 10 years in business with a flashback picture when Skipton town mayor at the time, Councillor Robert Heseltine, officiated at the ceremony, along with the town crier.

Andrew and Emma Stead opened their shop in Victoria Street on May 15, 2010, and have grown a strong base of regular customers.

Over the past seven weeks of lockdown, the family has tried its best to accommodate customers and has been delivering pet food directly to people’s homes.

Emma said: “We would like to thank everyone who has come in over the years and supported our little shop, particularly in the current situation where we have been delivering pet food. Emma runs the dog grooming salon with customers bringing their dogs from far and wide.

“Our dogs have become attractions themselves as visitors to the town year after year call in to see them,” she added.
