STAFF at Airedale General Hospital have received a sweet treat, thanks to Skipton’s Whitaker’s Chocolates.

Last week managing director William Whitaker and his wife, Gemma, donated thousands of chocolates for the hospital staff as a thank you to the hard work they are doing.

Gemma said Whitakers Chocolates wanted to give the community something back and a good way to cheer staff at Airedale was to donate thousands of chocolates.

Mr Whitaker said: “It’s important in these challenging times that we all pull together and do whatever we can, so if donating our chocolate puts a smile on someone’s face or gives a much needed energy boost that’s our aim achieved.”

Over the coming weeks, Whitakers Chocolates plans to continue to donate their chocolates to local charities and food banks to help lift spirits and to give people the chance to enjoy chocolate who wouldn’t necessarily be able to afford to in these current circumstances.
